Network disruption – services unavailable

Status: Mitigated – intermittent disruption possible
Update – October 23, 05:40 CEST
During the night of October 22 to 23, starting at around 23:30 CEST, our network (AS213929) was targeted by a large-scale distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack, peaking above 1 Tbps. This malicious attack specifically targeted one of our IPv4 ranges: 82.21.4.0/24.
Immediate response from our teams
Our engineering team was mobilized within minutes and worked continuously throughout the night to:
protect the entire infrastructure with emergency filtering;
isolate the targeted range to safeguard all other services;
reroute traffic for this range through a partner DDoS scrubbing center, which absorbs the attack before it reaches our network;
fine-tune filtering so that our customers’ legitimate traffic gets through.
Impact
Other IP ranges: after brief disruption at the start of the incident, the vast majority of services were restored quickly.
IPv6: minimally affected throughout the incident.
Range 82.21.4.0/24: services were heavily disrupted overnight and have been reachable again since around 05:00 CEST.
No data was compromised: this was a saturation attack, not an intrusion.
Current status and next steps
The attack is still ongoing but is now filtered upstream of our network. We are finalizing the full migration of the affected range to our partner’s scrubbing center to ensure lasting protection.
Intermittent disruption may still occur on 82.21.4.0/24 until this migration is complete. Other services are not affected.
Customers on 82.21.4.0/24: as a temporary measure, outbound traffic from your servers may use a different source IP address. If you rely on IP allowlists (APIs, software licenses, remote services) or experience issues sending email, please contact our support team, who will provide the details.
We are monitoring the situation continuously and will post an update once the migration is complete. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The cause has been identified: since 23:05 CEST (21:05 UTC) on October 22, our network has been the target of a major DDoS attack whose volume exceeds our network capacity. The attack is still ongoing and services remain unavailable. We are working on mitigation measures and will post another update as soon as possible.
